Dear Readers,
Everyone is going to love this one. The City of Panguitch thought it was necessary to have the following ratio of Police to resident: “City of Panguitch has deemed it necessary to hire 46 county deputies, 5 highway patrolmen, 3 city cops, 4 Forest Service Rangers, and 2 Fish and Game officers in a town of 1623 people.” They use the fish and game officers to search cars without a warrant. So now the ratio is causing the officers to have to fine people everyday to make payroll. Further, it has been found that the teenagers have at least a couple of felonies on their record before they leave for better pastures. The little City is in the State of Utah and they have a very large prison, however, the deputies have to find something to do so they harass the people and terrorize them on a daily basis. The city is so small it does not have a traffic light on Main Street, it is just a 4-way stop. Anyone new that shows up is pulled over multiple times to get as much money as possible to support the large police force. Just another day of dealing with city-states instead of State governments. Maybe claiming a nationality in one of the States may seem a little more attractive now. The States have to have a permanent population in order to exist, just three in each State will do with an oath or affirmation to that State.
